When I 1st came to IISc I thought there will not be much change in my style from My BE life..
I expected a life style similar to BE like
Doing assignments at eleventh hour that to copying from some one.. Bunking more than 50% of the class... reading for the exams in only last week.. spending half of the day time in canteen chatting with friend on useless things starting from Indian Politics to College Politics ... Indian Cricket to video games.. Late night movies.... Njoying with all batch and branch mates from the college..
But after few days in IISc only i realized that life in IISc is much more different that what I expected it to be.. Like You dont have any work to do but still all the times you feel like you are engaged with some or other work.. You can't afford to bunk a class.. it will cost you more hours to get back what you have lost. You cant just read for exams for one day.. by simply taking one book.. For writing exams here you need out of box thinking than just knowing the theory (thats what i think... ) and OPEN BOOK exams are more though that the close book exams this you will realize only after giving one OPEN BOOK exam.......The t toughest part is going for a discussion with your research adviser..atleast for those 2 hours of discussion you will feel like "I don't know any thing" .. Am I the only dumb person in this universe ... . Main thing is like you SIMPLY CAN'T copy assignment from any one it will cost marks of both...
Apart from all these hurdles there is a lot more time in IISc to njoy..... only thing is that should get a good group of people to njoy at the end of the time you will become a good TIME manager that is what I think ...
In a nut shell according to me IISc is mixture of days starting with days with deep depression to the days with full enjoyment.. sleepless nights to 15 hours sleep... a day...

In our words 'OKA RAKAM'...
I think writing a comment is almost equal to writing a blog(for new people).....
I feel happy when one guy(banda) accept it.

--We r completely at our stake here--
Life here is ideal to transform into watever v want, ppl do apply different transformations upon themselves(some ppl r satisfied with simplest DFT, some body optimum KLT, though difficult :) ). v have shifted from shedule driven BE life to a great, motive driven IISc life. Fortunate to be here and with us..
In BE, we learn lots of technicalities... I think IISc gives us lots of space for intellectual growth along with learning technicalities...
